Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has revealed he has had to undergo surgery on his Achilles tendon yet again.
The 32-year-old revealed the news on Twitter and says he still harbours hopes of playing again.
In a recent interview with Marca, Cazorla revealed his hellish year of surgeries. After an issue with his Achilles was discovered, Cazorla went under the knife an astonishing EIGHT times to try and correct his issues, which were caused by a horrific infection.
After all that and a skin graft, the midfielder finally appeared to be on the way back but has suffered another setback while trying to rebuild his fitness.
There is no indication of when – or indeed if – Cazorla will be able to return.
