Sanjin Prcic set to meet Strasbourg president amid ostracisation

Sanjin Prcic (30) is one of RC Strasbourg Alsace’s top earners, however, that isn’t represented in his status at the club. Within RCSA’s squad, only Abakar Sylla is paid more than the Bosnian midfielder, however, he has not been included in a matchday squad for over five months, and now he isn’t even attending training.

Prcic has played just 87 minutes of football all season, with his last game coming against OGC Nice at the start of September. He is completely marginalised at the club, despite his salary, and as a result, has stopped turning up for training, as sporting co-ordinator Kader Mangane confirmed to Dernières Nouvelles d’Alsace.

The situation is unsustainable and a solution is now being sought. As reported by L’Équipe, a meeting between Prcic and president Marc Keller has been scheduled in order to allow the former to leave Les Alsaciens. With the Bosnian international’s contract running until the end of the 2024/25 season, it is unclear what this ‘solution’ will look like. Will Strasbourg be willing to let Prcic leave the club on a free before the end of the current campaign? Time will tell.
