Jadon Sancho will remain a Manchester United player for now after the he was unable to agree to terms with Chelsea.
The forward will leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the month meaning that Chelsea will have to pay a £5 million penalty to United instead of signing the player for £25 million according to David Ornstein of The Athletic.
Sancho played one game for his parent club at the start of the season before joining Chelsea on loan.
During his time with the London club, Sancho played 41 times in all competitions, chipping in with nine assists and five goals – including one in the 4-1 UEFA Conference League final win over Real Betis last month.
United remain keen on offloading the 25-year-old with the player reportedly having suitors in England and Europe.
