The San Jose Earthquakes have re-signed midfielder Jack Skahan ahead of the 2024 MLS season. The 25 year old central midfielder is a former MLS SuperDraft selection by the Quakes back in 2020. Since his time as a professional, Skahan has totaled 45 career games between the Earthquakes, Earthquakes II, and Reno 1868 FC. In those games, Skahan scored 8 goals and recorded 3 assists.

Skahan is a true box to box type midfielder and I expect him to be the primary backup option behind captain Jackson Yueill. Personally, I love Skahan’s game and what he brings to Luchi Gonzalez’s system in San Jose. Though he won’t blow you away, he is a perfect in his prime MLS player to bolster a MLS roster that is pushing to return to the MLS Cup Playoffs sooner rather than later.
