Samuel Dahl discussed his difficult start to life at Roma in a recent interview with Expressen.
In the interview, the young Swedish fullback, who joined Roma in the summer, spoke about the fact that so far he’s not played a single minute for the Giallorossi.
“There have been many training sessions and not many minutes on the pitch, but I train hard every day. I act like a professional,” assured the youngster.
“When the time comes for me to make my first appearance, I will be fully prepared. I have to be ready and act as if I play every week,” he added.
“It’s really a big step and the competition is huge. Those ahead of me have years of experience at that level, so the problem is that I have to prove myself in training to get the opportunity.”
“No, there’s no plan to keep playing for the Primavera,” he added. “I don’t think the leap I took was too big. I’ve been here for two months and I have a five-year contract. I think most people would have made that choice if they were in my situation.”
“If I get a chance to play soon, the minutes can increase very quickly. I’m not stressed at all. We have to take it as it comes, I think. Who knows, maybe I’ll make a blitz in the future if someone gets injured, freeing up a spot. I’ll take it day by day.”
