Sampdoria shot-stopper Emil Audero is currently very close to joining Inter as the back-up to Yan Sommer ahead of this year’s campaign.

Fabrizio Biasin reports, via FcInter1908, that the Nerazzurri have offered Sampdoria on a one year loan deal with the option to buy worth €7m for the 26 year-old.

Whilst primary target Anatoliy Trubin no longer an option as the 22 year-old promising shot-stopper is set to join Portuguese giants Benfica on an €11m transfer move from Shakhtar, the Benemata have moved quickly in order to find an alternative.

As a result, Inzaghi’s side are eager to complete the pursuit of the Blucerchiati star seeing that he already possesses a great deal of experience within the Serie A.

Within last year’s campaign, Audero has managed to attain a total of four clean-sheets within 25 matches in between the posts for Sampdoria.

With Sampdoria currently in the second division after having failed to survive relegation last season, the 26 year-old is keen on parting ways with Andrea Pirlo’s side in order to feature within the top-flight Italian league.
