Eldor Shomurodov continues to draw interest ahead of the January window.

The ex-Genoa man could be on the move in January once the winter transfer market officially reopens.

After a difficult first term in the Italian capital last season, the Uzbekistan international hasn’t fared much better this season, primarily featuring from the bench.

Since joining the Giallorossi in the summer of 2021 from Genoa, Shomurodov has collected only 6 goals and 6 assists in 48 total appearances.

Sitting firmly behind Tammy Abraham, Nicolo Zaniolo, and Paulo Dybala in Jose Mourinho’s pecking order, the Uzbekistan international is in search of consistent minutes and is increasingly open to leaving Roma in January.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sampdoria have recently come forward with a loan proposal. The Blucerchiati would consider adding Shomurodov to their roster only if Roma covered part of his salary until the end of the season. For now, the Giallorossi insist on finding a permanent solution.
