Sampdoria to compete in Women’s Serie A

Massimo Ferrero and everyone at UC Sampdoria are proud to confirm that the city of Genoa will be represented in next season’s Women’s Serie A.

It represents a new step for Sampdoria and a welcome return for the city of Genoa, with important social, cultural and sporting implications.

FIGC confirmed on Tuesday that UC Sampdoria have acquired Florentia San Gimignano’s place in Women’s Serie A. Sampdoria would like to thank everyone at Florentia and indeed all those who have contributed to this project, which has long been a priority for the club.
