Sampdoria Have Not Given Up On Securing Inter’s Stefano Sensi On Loan, Italian Media Reports

Sampdoria are still interested in signing Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi for the rest of the season on loan, and will make another effort to secure his signature.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Blucerchiati will meet with Inter next week to make one final effort to get a deal done for the 26-year-old but that it currently does not look likely.

Sensi had looked all set for a dry loan move to Sampdoria for the rest of the season, with the Ligurians having convinced both him and Inter, and he had been scheduled for his medicals.

However, the Coppa Italia clash with Empoli on Wednesday saw Joaquin Correa pick up a long-term injury which could mean Sensi will be relied on more, while the midfielder also came off the bench to win the match in extra time.

Now, it looks as though the Nerazzurri will prefer to keep Sensi in the squad over the second half of the campaign, although the Blucerchiati have not given up hope and will make another effort for him.
