Sampdoria captain Fabio Quagliarella is set to miss out on Monday evening’s Serie A clash with Inter through injury.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 40-year-old will be unavailable for the clash, as will wingback Mehdi Leris, whilst the Blucerchati hope to have defender Koray Gunter and midfielder Abdelhamid Sabiri available.

Quagliarella and Leris are both carrying knocks after Sampdoria’s 2-2 draw away to Monza on Monday, and neither are set to return in time for next week’s Serie A match against Inter.

Meanwhile, Sabiri is still recovering, but the Ligurians will hope to have the 24-year-old back fit and available for the clash, as he remains on loan despite having transferred to Fiorentina during the January transfer window.

Lastly, the newspaper reports, Sampdoria are hoping to have defender Gunter, on loan from Hellas Verona as of the January window, fit and available given that Omar Colley is set to leave for Besiktas.
