Samir Handanovic The Best & Lautaro Martinez The Worst For Inter In Fiorentina Win, Italian Media Report

Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has been singled out as his team’s weakest performer in yesterday evening’s comeback win against Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi by Italian media.

The Argentine received the lowest score of any Inter player in the player ratings for the Serie A clash in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, while his teammates Ivan Perisic and Samir Handanovic were given the best grades.

Martinez has started the season well, having gotten on the scoresheet in his first three games in Serie A having missed the opener through suspension, but he had a night to forget against La Viola.

The 24-year-old failed to really trouble Fiorentina goalkeeper Bartolmiej Dragowski and was not heavily involved in the Nerazzurri’s best moments, and the Corriere deemed his performance worthy of a 5.5/10 grade, while his strike partner Edin Dzeko managed a 6.5/10 score.

Meanwhile, Handanovic is singled out in the ratings as the Nerazzurri’s best player for his heroics in the first half to keep the scoreline from getting out of touch for his team.

The captain received a score of 7/10, while Ivan Perisic was given the same grade for his goal and the way he ran makeshift Viola right-back Marco Benassi ragged.
