Now, speaking ahead of the clash, Surridge has issued the following message on social media, alongside a compilation of his best Forest moments.

“Just the start💪🏼 Lets get the job done Sunday🏟 @officialnffc.” the 23-year-old wrote on Instagram.

Surridge had a decent individual campaign as Nottingham Forest climbed the table under boss Steve Cooper.

In the end, he scored 12 goals for the club this campaign, as well as registering three assists.

Steve Cooper will no doubt be hoping that Surridge can find the net once again on Sunday.

The Verdict

The Championship play-off final is such a monumental occasion at Wembley every season.

IS THE CITY GROUND BIGGER OR SMALLER THAN HILLSBOROUGH?

BIGGER SMALLER

The stakes are so high with Premier League football on the line, so let’s hope that both sides can overcome any nerves and put on their best displays in what should be a fantastic match of football.

Both managers deserve a huge amount of credit for getting their respective teams to this stage.

Had Steve Cooper been in charge of Forest since the beginning of the campaign, it is highly likely that they would have been promoted automatically this season.

As for Carlos Corberan, he has worked miracles given the amount of money the Terriers have spent in recent times, relying on free transfers and loan deals to achieve their success.
