Chelsea have announced that star striker Sam Kerr has signed a new contract which will keep her at the club until 2028.
The news was initially teased by a video released by the Women’s Super League champions in which it was hinted that Kerr would be saying goodbye to the club.
But an official announcement released later on Thursday morning confirmed that the Australian international is staying put, and will continue to lead the Blues’ line under new coach Sonia Bompastor.
Kerr joined Chelsea from Chicago Red Stars in November 2020 and has since scored 99 goals in 128 appearances for the club, winning five WSL titles, three FA Cups and two League Cups.
