The defender continues his long association with his boyhood club, signing a one-year deal which will keep him with the Whites until the summer of 2026.

The 31-year-old played an important role for Daniel Farke’s side last campaign, making 39 appearances across all competitions as Leeds were crowned champions of the second tier and promoted back to the Premier League.

Byram scored a memorable goal during the home victory over Luton Town in November and would feature regularly throughout the year on either flank.

Sam returned to the Whites ahead of the 2023/24 season, bringing a wealth of experience and versatility to the ranks after spending time with West Ham United, Nottingham Forest and Norwich City.

The full-back has featured over 200 times for the club, debuting for the Whites back in 2012 in a League Cup win over Shrewsbury Town, before scoring a stunning first goal against Oxford United in the following round.

Everyone at Leeds United would like to congratulate Sam on signing a new deal and we look forward to him being part of the squad ahead of our Premier League return.
