Salvador Reyes praises Larcamón amid América interest

Club América have reportedly stepped-up their interest in Puebla manager Nicolás Larcamón.

Las Aguilas’ interest is widely spoken about and defender Salvador Reyes, who played under Larcamón in 2020, was quick to praise the Argentine.

“I have a lot of respect for Professor Larcamón,” the 23-year-old told ESPN.

“Personally he gave me a lot of confidence and it sounds like he might be coming here. I personally hope it happens.

“Whether it’s him or Ortiz, the truth is that it comes more from us, the players, to make a great project and to fight for the championship.”

América will be looking for their second victory of the season when they return to action Sunday at home to Toluca.
