Ondrej Duda has had quite the weekend.
His two goals helped Hertha Berlin beat Nürnberg 3-1 on Sunday but that wasn’t the only good news for the Slovakian.
Duda has been Hertha’s leading light this term when it comes to goals, racking up nine in just 17 Bundesliga appearances.
And now it turns out that team mate Salomon Kalou has played a major part in his success in the first part of 2018/19.
It was revealed that, at the start of the season, the Ivorian promised his strike partner a new Rolex should he reach eight goals – and with that double at the Max-Morlock-Stadion on the weekend, it looks like Duda will be getting a new timepiece.
“I said he should score eight goals. Now he has nine and that’s one too many,” the Ivorian joked.
“Tough luck for Ondrej! No, a deal is deal. He’ll get one.”
We can only imagine what’s on offer if he reaches 20.
