Appointments made for Tuesday's cup tie.
The match officials for Leeds United’s Carabao Cup away tie against Salford City on Tuesday have been announced, with Oliver Langford set to be the man in the middle.
West Midlands based official Langford is now in his 14th season as an EFL referee, having made his debut back in August 2008 and is part of the Select Group 2 list of referees.
Langford has previously taken charge of 18 Leeds United fixtures, with his last coming in the 3-1 away Championship victory over Derby County, in the penultimate game of the 2019/20 season.
In the 18 previous matches, the Whites have won nine, lost seven and drawn two. He has issued 28 yellow cards and two red cards to Leeds players.
Tuesday’s match will mark the first time Langford has refereed Salford City.
This season, Langford has taken charge of one Carabao Cup fixture and two Sky Bet Championship fixtures. In those games he has shown two red cards, one to Huddersfield Town’s Jaheim Headley in their 3-2 cup defeat to Middlesbrough and Blackburn’s Harry Pickering in their 2-1 league loss to Hull City.
