Salernitana’s Sabatini on ex-Chelsea man Diego Costa: “It is very difficult.” | OneFootball

Salernitana’s new sporting director Walter Sabatini has talked about the possibility of the Salerno club signing Diego Costa.

Sabatini has come into his new role very recently, some months after having left Bologna as the rossoblu’s head of football operations. He was recently asked about the possibility of Diego Costa potentially joining the Serie A side, after rumours emerged.

Sabatini told TuttoSalernitana: “Diego Costa? Let me make a premise, I guarantee you that it is very difficult because there are leaks of news that are more false than true, today we had a meeting with the president and some names came out just as we were having the meeting”

Costa is currently a free agent after having left Brazilian club Atletico Mineiro. He has won the Premier League with Chelsea, while also winning the La Liga with Atletico Madrid on two different occasions, while also winning the Europa League with them.
