Sale in the summer? Bayern set desired transfer fee for Mazraoui | OneFootball

Noussair Mazraoui has so far been unable to make a long-term impression during his two-year spell at FC Bayern. That is why the Moroccan could now be up for sale, and FCB bosses have probably already decided on a desired transfer fee.

FC Bayern are apparently thinking about selling Noussair Mazraoui. The Moroccan has only made 16 Bundesliga appearances in the current season. Too many injuries and travelling to the Africa Cup of Nations are the reasons. The right-back position is now occupied by Joshua Kimmich. Josip Stanisic will also return from Leverkusen in the summer and new winter signing Sacha Boey has also been brought in for this position.

Munich would then have an oversupply of right-backs. Mazraoui is said to be the first candidate for sale among them. As reported by Munich’s AZ newspaper, the transfer fee demanded by the club is said to be around 30 million euros. So far, however, there doesn’t seem to be anyone willing to put that kind of money on the table for the 26-year-old. Only Juventus are said to be showing a loose interest in Mazraoui.

„I didn’t expect too much now“

Even if the numerous muscle injuries and the national team trip with Morocco are probably the main reasons for Mazraoui’s limited playing time, the Moroccan was rarely able to shine in the Bayern shirt even when fit. This was also the case in the home win against Cologne, where he had to help out at left-back.

At the press conference after the 2-0 win over FC, Tuchel said of him: „I didn’t expect too much from Nous. I think it’s been a few weeks since his last game.“

The main reason why Tuchel brought the Moroccan in at all is Alphonso Davies‘ yellow card suspension in the Champions League, which could allow Mazraoui to start. After all, he knows the left-back position from the national team. The still-Bayern coach explained: „That’s why he played: To at least get a few minutes in.“
