Saldívar, Henning earn Women's U-20 Championship honors

MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Women's U-20 Championship is in the history books following Canada’s 3-2 victory over Mexico in extra time of the Final on Sunday at Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
The finalists led the way with top performances throughout the tournament, including the following players who earned individual distinctions.
Best Player Award, presented by Scotiabank: Montserrat Saldívar
Mexico’s Montserrat Saldívar was honored with the Best Player Award, presented by Scotiabank, as recognition of her importance and vital participation for her team. Scoring a brace in the Final, Saldívar was one of the most clutch players of the 2025 edition.
Best Goalkeeper Award: Noelle Henning
Canada goalkeeper Noelle Henning was recognized with the Best Goalkeeper Award. Conceding the fewest goals in the key moments of the Semifinals and Final, Henning was a fundamental piece for The Reds to win their third Concacaf Women's U-20 Championship trophy.
Top Scorer Award, presented by Aramco: Montserrat Saldívar
With eight goals scored, Mexican forward Montserrat Saldívar received the Top Scorer Award, presented by Aramco. With braces in the opening and closing matches of the Group Stage, five in total, Saldívar helped her nation secure a World Cup berth as the first-place team in Group B.
Saldívar struck the match-winning goal of the Semifinal and twice in the Final, including a match-tying penalty in extra time.
Fair Play Award: Canada
Canada earned the Fair Play Award as the team that best conducted themselves throughout the tournament.
