Mohamed Salah has expressed his frustration with Liverpool, revealing that he is yet to receive a contract offer, despite his current deal expiring at the end of the season. The Egyptian forward, who has been instrumental for Liverpool this term, admitted feeling “disappointed” as uncertainty clouds his future at Anfield.
Salah’s contributions on the pitch remain undeniable. The 32-year-old scored twice in Liverpool’s 3-1 victory over Southampton on Sunday, helping his team secure an eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League. With 12 goals already this season across all competitions, his form has been nothing short of stellar. Yet, his post-match comments hinted at mounting tensions with the club’s hierarchy.
“Well, we are almost in December and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay in the club,” Salah remarked. “I’m probably more out than in. You know I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end, it is not in my hands.”

When asked about his disappointment, Salah responded candidly: “Of course, yeah. I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end, it is not in my hands or the fans’ hands. Let’s wait and see.”
Despite the uncertainty, Salah remains focused on delivering success this season. “I’m not going to retire soon, so I’m just playing, focusing on the season and trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well. I’m disappointed, but we will see,” he added.
Liverpool’s silence over Salah’s contract raises serious questions about their long-term plans. With Salah hinting he is “more out than in,” the onus is now on the club to secure their star player’s future or face the fallout of his potential departure.
As passionate Liverpool fans, this situation is a bitter pill to swallow. Salah is not just another player; he’s a legend at Anfield. His goals, assists, and commitment have driven this club to unimaginable heights over the years. To hear him speak of being “more out than in” is not only disappointing—it’s heart-breaking.

The club’s failure to offer him a new deal by this stage of the season feels like a betrayal of everything Salah has done. Arne Slot has been fantastic in keeping the squad competitive, but the board’s apparent lack of urgency here is glaring. How can they allow a player of Salah’s calibre to feel this way? It’s unacceptable for a team chasing trophies to gamble with their top scorer’s future.
Fans deserve transparency. If the club is planning for a future without Salah, they must communicate that clearly. But let’s not forget—there are no guarantees of finding a replacement who can replicate Salah’s impact. Losing him would be a massive step back.
Liverpool must act now. Tie Salah down with a contract that reflects his contribution and importance, or risk alienating not only him but also the fans who see him as irreplaceable. This is more than just business—it’s about loyalty, respect, and maintaining the standards that make Liverpool great.
