It didn't take long for Mohamed Salah to break the deadlock in Liverpool's game against Leeds on Sunday afternoon.

Trent Alexander-Arnold found space down the right in the 20th minute and he crossed for Salah, who had the easy task of rolling the ball into the net.

That goal brought up his 100th in the Premier League.

The Liverpool forward has become the 30th player to reach that landmark and he achieved it in just 162 games.

On the back of Salah's Premier League goals by how many games it took them.

28. Paul Scholes - 436 games

27. Peter Crouch - 419 games

26. Emile Heskey - 414 games

25. Frank Lampard - 406 games

1. Alan Shearer - 121 games

So Salah has become the fifth fastest player to reach 100 Premier League goals. That's a mightily impressive feat given he isn't even an out-and-out striker.

In fact, the next highest non-striker is Le Tissier, who took 266 games to reach the landmark.

The Egyptian 100 goals marginally slower than the great Henry, who is arguably the Premier League's greatest ever player. That goes to show just how impressive Salah's feat is.

But he falls short of Shearer's record, who managed 100 goals in just 121 games. That's surely a record which will stand for many, many years.
