FIFA 23 is less than a fortnight away from being released, with gamers eager to get their hands on the new title in EA Sports’ hit football simulator.
Ratings have been released for the new game for a vast majority of the big hitters on the game, adding to the excitement for the new game finally being released.
Mohamed Salah, Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema are the three favourites for this year’s Ballon d’Or, so let’s see how they compare on EA Sports’ new game.
Unsurprisingly, Mbappe tops the pace charts as the fastest player on the game, with a controller-breaking 97. The Egyptian King is still in with the pacey players with 90 pace, but Benzema trails behind with just 80.
Obviously Benzema’s age goes against him with him ageing, it’s just how EA tend to do things, however, despite his 91 rating, he is likely to not be in the META category for the new game.
There’s very little in it when it comes to shooting, with just one point separating the three. Mbappe and Salah boast 89 shooting each on the new game, with Benzema just behind on 88.
It’s the exact same story with finishing, with 93 a piece for the pacey forwards, and Benzema just off the two again with 92. Either way, most shots with any of this trio should be finding the onion bag.
During his time at Liverpool, Salah has built a reputation for scoring all types of goals, including long rage screamers, so it’s no shock to see him ahead of the other two here.
Benzema takes top spot for his creativity, with Salah’s plethora of assists last season only seeing him given 82 passing compared to the 83 Benzema boasts. His compatriot has 80, which is the lowest attacking based stat between the three.
All three are known for their ridiculous goal scoring prowess, so to see the passing stats fall behind the finishing stats isn’t really a surprise.
Once again, EA’s cover star takes top spot with 92 dribbling, ahead of 87 for Benzema. Salah also breaks into the 90s with bang on 90 dribbling.
Although the trio look solid when it comes to using the ball at their feet on the new edition of the game, agility and balance suggest two will be much more useable than the other. Salah has 90 and 91, with Mbappe 93 and 81, suggesting they’ll slot into the META perfectly.
On the other hand, Benzema has just 78 and 72, so if the game is the same as always in terms of desirable stats, the Real Madrid marksman won’t be used too often.
Defending stats are pretty irrelevant for the three forwards, but to see Salah above the others is no surprise given his ridiculous work ethic for Jurgen Klopp’s side, doing much more defensive work than his rivals here.
The vetran of the groups has 78 physical to boast the best stat from the three, but his young compatriot is close behind at 76 with The Egyptian King given 75.
Obviously when it comes to FIFA 23, you’d imagine the cover star, Mbappe, will be the best of the three with his five star skill moves and eye-watering pace, with Salah just behind for his rapid nature and clinical finishing skills.
Benzema will likely be pretty unusable on the game for the META chasers like normal, but he is likely to be the Ballon d’Or winner according to the bookies, with his Champions League triumph helping him after a top notch season. They have Mbappe second and Salah in the bronze medal position, one point and one game separated Liverpool’s hero from a historic, unprecedented, quadruple which would likely have tipped the scale in his favour.
It’s no surprise to see Mbappe look so menacing on the game given he is the cover star for the game and huge to their marketing ploy! However, The Egyptian King does come out on top if you combine all base stats and then total in-game stats sees Mo Salah on top as well.
