The final Premier League game before the October international break saw Mohamed Salah continue the fine form he's shown throughout 2021/22.
Liverpool's main man in attack scored and assisted in the team's 2-2 draw with title rivals Manchester City at Anfield.
Salah's goal that put the Reds 2-1 up late in the second half was also extraordinary, a solo effort that few players in history could have pulled off in such a big game.
The Egyptian icon's latest masterclass has resulted in football fans debating whether he is actually the best footballer in Europe right now.
There's certainly a case to be made that Salah is worthy of that label, especially with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo not quite hitting their best form just yet in 2021/22.

But according to Sky Sports' Power Rankings, the Liverpool man has only been the second-best player in Europe's top five leagues this season.
So how are players' positions on the list actually worked out? Well, the publication state: "The algorithm applies a fixed formula to rank players' form based on starting positions and awards points for 35 matchday statistics - not just goals and assists."
Now that's cleared up, let's check out the top 30 players in Sky Sports' Power Rankings at the time of writing.

Benzema pips Salah to top spot, which is understandable given that the Frenchman has basically carried Real Madrid so far in 2021/22.
There are some seriously big names missing in the top 30, though. Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski is oddly as far back as 43rd in the Power Rankings, despite his impressive start to the campaign.
Messi and Ronaldo don't even make the top 100...
