Beppe Sala has once again spoken again AC Milan’s potential San Donato project, even though the Rossoneri are likely to extend their San Siro stay.

Talk about a stadium has followed the same pattern for years, though in the past few months, this has been the case especially. Milan have played with the idea of staying at San Siro or moving to San Donato, but now seem to have decided on remaining put.

Nevertheless, the San Donato hypothesis remains on the sidelines, which is creating a bit of worry for the Milanese Mayor, Beppe Sala. Today, on the sidelines of an event in Via Antonini, he spoke about the current situation, via Milan News.

“If the sale of San Siro does not go ahead, San Donato is still there ready. In recent days, Milan have announced that they will find a solution for San Donato. Probably the project is to bring the youth centre there.

“Milan have also put up a significant amount of money, so this must be taken into account. I don’t think it’s good for Milan, for Milan, for the fans to go to San Donato. The objective for the sale of the area and stadium is still to close by the summer.”

The next few months should offer an ending to the discussions, considering a purchase has a deadline of the summer. Nevertheless, history has shown us, and continues to show us, that this is not that easy to work out.
