Sakina Karchaoui named Première Ligue Player of the Month for February

The Paris Saint-Germain defender has been named the French top-flight's top player of last month.

The France international polled 37.3% of the vote, coming ahead of Paris FC duo Kessya Bussy (34.9%) and Maëlle Garbino (27.8%) to win the accolade for the second time in her career after December 2021.

She was handed the award by former player Élise Legrout, who represents the players' union, the UNFP, and is a member of the LFFP's executive committee.

It's the 11th time a Paris Saint-Germain player has won the award since its creation in 2020-2021, which is a record (shared with Olympique Lyonnais).
