Paris Saint-Germain defender Sakina Karchaoui and coach Fabrice Abriel spoke to PSG TV ahead of the UEFA Women's Champions League play-off second leg against Juventus.
'We're determined. We know we didn't do what we needed to do in the first leg. I watched the team and I felt helpless in front of my TV. But now I'm here to help the girls win this game. This time, we're at home, at the Campus, so we have to win the game. We are going to give each other a lot of motivation to go out and get qualification.'
'I do this sport for the drama, the emotions that it creates and when we find ourselves in this kind of scenario, you say to yourself that if we turn things round, it'll make us a lot stronger. So, we're thinking of that: preparing well, approaching the game well. We are thinking about how we start the game and the atmosphere that we'd like to create in front of our fans, who will be out in force. And then we're envisaging a happy ending, with a lot of shared joy.
'We have to use this pitch that we know well, with a stand very close to the pitch, the positive energy, the family...this sort of situation is really very motivating. We're behind, we have to make up that deficit and move in front. There's really everything this sport represents: the challenge, the occasion, ambition. That's what gives us that adrenaline rush, so we're really looking forward to it.'
The game will be shown live on PSG TV Premium on Thursday, 26 September, from 6:45pm CEST
