AS Saint-Étienne haven’t had a strong start to the season. Les Verts are yet to score since their return to Ligue 1, have lost all three matches, and currently sit rock-bottom of the table.

With pressure reportedly ramping up on manager Olivier Dall’Oglio already, he must now do without one of his key players. As reported by L’Équipe, Yvann Macon is set to undergo surgery an a meniscus injury and therefore looks set to miss around two months of action. He is therefore guaranteed to miss Friday evening’s match against Lille OSC.

Thomas Monconduit is also set to undergo an operation, The midfielder has an injured tendon in the upper part of his thigh and could be absent for between three and four months.
