Saelemaekers was unable to continue and was eventually replaced by Mario Hermoso who made his Roma debut.

According to Il Messaggero, Roma initially believed the player had simply suffered a sprained ankle.

However, over the course of the next few hours Saelemaekers has proven unable to put weight on his right foot and is now scheduled to undergo additional tests at Trigoria.

Roma fear Saelemaekers may have suffered a fractured ankle which could potentially sideline him for up to 2 months.
