Sadio Mane was forced off with an apparent injury just 20 minutes into Bayern Munich's thumping 6-1 win over Werder Bremen and, more importantly, less than two weeks before the start of the FIFA World Cup.
The ex-Liverpool man was key to Senegal's qualification for the tournament in Qatar - the third time the nation has ever qualified for a World Cup - scoring the decisive penalty in a clash with Egypt.
Mane was also the star in the country's triumphant 2021 Africa Cup of Nations campaign, scoring three goals and lifting the trophy as Senegal captain.
As such, the forward's early substitution on Tuesday evening would've put quite a few hearts in mouths back in his home nation.
However, per Bild, the injury is not said to be serious one - rather a 'pinched nerve' - and Mane should be fit and ready for the World Cup.
The Senegalese star isn't the only high profile player who has suffered some sort of an injury in the gruelling lead up to the tournament in Qatar, with Paul Pogba, N'Golo Kante, Jesus Corona, Reece James and Ben Chilwell being a just a few of the other players who have suffered a similar fate.
