The match went all the way to penalties and there was yet more drama.

Cesar Azpilicueta’s miss gave Sadio Mane the chance to win the game for his side, but the Liverpool forward saw his effort saved by Edouard Mendy.

Mason Mount then saw his penalty saved by Alisson Becker in sudden death, giving Kostas Tsimikas the chance to win it for his side.

And the Greek left-back made no mistake as he secured Liverpool’s second trophy win of the season.
