SACKED! Venezia axe coach Paolo Zanetti | OneFootball

Venezia have sacked coach Paolo Zanetti today.

After a bright first-half of the season, Venezia have fallen to last place in the standings, after eight consecutive defeats.

For the last five games in the championship, the club has decided to count on Andrea Soncin, their Primavera coac.

The club announced earlier today: "Venezia FC announces that Paolo Zanetti has been relieved of his post as coach of the First Team. The club would like to thank the coach for writing a magnificent page in the orange-and-green history with last year's promotion to Serie A.

"The second coach Alberto Bertolini, the assistant Nicola Beati and the trainer Fabio Trentin have also been relieved of their duties with Mr. Zanetti, to whom the club's thanks for the collaboration in these two seasons go."

Venezia's next game is at Juventus on Saturday.
