In their search for defensive reinforcements this January, Olympique de Marseille have turned their attention to Bayern Munich’s Sacha Boey (24), according to L’Équipe, however, according to Foot Mercato, Les Phocéens may find it difficult to get a deal over the line.
A move for Boey could come in the form of a loan move. Bayern Munich are looking to retain the right-back long-term, but a short-term stint away from the Allianz Arena could be seen as beneficial for all parties.
Marseille are yet to make concrete steps but an enquiry has been made, although should contact be made with Bayern Munich, Medhi Benatia’s strong relationship with the German club, following his stint there as a player, could facilitate a deal. However, that could be in vain.
Boey himself is more likely to stay at Bayern Munich rather than leave, according to Foot Mercato. The Frenchman does not want to leave the Bavarian club and is motivated to establish himself at the club, despite OM’s recent enquiries.
