Sabatini surprised Chelsea or Man Utd didn’t sign Napoli midfielder

Former Bologna sporting director Walter Sabatini has expressed surprise at the fact that neither Manchester United or Chelsea moved to sign Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa before Napoli roped him in.

Zambo Anguissa joined Napoli on an initial loan deal late in the summer transfer window, despite being linked with a move to Roma over the summer too.

Sabatini spoke to Calcio Napoli 24 and he talked about Zambo Anguissa’s abilities and situation: “I’m happy with what Giuntoli is doing: the Anguissa deal was fantastic.”

“I don’t understand how nobody in the Premier League looked at him. I’m amazed that top English clubs like United or Chelsea didn’t come forward for a Fulham player sooner.”

Zambo Anguissa has been very impressive for Napoli this season and has been key to their successes in the current campaign.
