Ryan Porteous has completed a move from Watford to join MLS side Los Angeles FC.
The Scottish international’s switch to the MLS side has been in the pipeline for a while, and it’s now been confirmed, with the deal reportedly worth around $1 million (£752k).
Porteous, a centre-back, made 82 appearances for the Hornets after arriving from Hibernian in January 2023. He spent the latter half of last season out on loan at Preston North End.
The 25-year-old has penned a three-year deal with LAFC, which also includes an option for a fourth year.
With Porteous and Antonio Tikvic both moving on, Watford will need to bring in at least one more centre-back before the window shuts. At the moment, only Mattie Pollock, James Abankwah and Kevin Keben remain as senior options in that position.
