Bayern Munich are reportedly not considering selling Ryan Gravenberch, who has endured a tough start to life in the Bundesliga.

The Bavarians snapped up the Netherlands midfielder from Ajax for €19 million last summer, beating top European clubs for his signature.

Gravenberch was touted to make a big impact at Allianz Arena, as he was coming off an impressive stint at Ajax, where he marked himself as one of Europe’s exciting young midfielders.

However, things haven’t gone as planned for the Dutchman, who has struggled for game time this season.

Gravenberch has made 15 appearances in all competitions, of which only two were starts. He was also left on the bench on several occasions.

Julian Nagelsmann has strongly favoured Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Jamal Musiala and Marcel Sabitzer in midfield.

Gravenberch’s struggles at Bayern also cost him a place in the national team for World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

His future has been plunged into doubt following the growing speculation on RB Leipzig’s Konrad Laimer, who is reportedly on the brink of reaching an agreement with Bayern over a free transfer next summer.

According to Florian Plettenberg, Bayern have no intention of selling Gravenberch, who they cite as a key player for the future.

Despite not playing him regularly, Nagelsmann has faith in the Dutch prospect. The German gaffer recently stated that Gravenberch has all the qualities to grow into one of the best midfielders in the world in a few years.

Bayern have also ruled out the chances of signing Cristiano Ronaldo, who is currently a free agent after terminating his contract with Manchester United.

The Bavarians CEO Oliver Kahn has insisted that the Portuguese superstar will not fit into their plans.
