The Russia vs Slovenia 2022 World Cup UEFA qualifying match will be broadcast live online and on TV as Sbornaya hosts Kekci at Fisht Stadium this Saturday, March 26, at 7:00 a.m. Pacific.
Russia began the UEFA World Cup qualifiers with a dominant 3-1 win against Malta last Wednesday. Artem Dzyuba, Mario Fernandes and Alexandr Sobolev scored the goals that led to Russia’s victory, but this match against Slovenia is set to be a bit of a tougher task.
The Eurasian team has a solid squad with veteran Artem Dzyuba and Monaco midfielder Aleksandr Golovin leading the attack. Manager Stanislav Cherchesov is unlikely to toggle much with his lineup for this game against Slovenia as the starting 11 was able to get a positive result against Malta.
Slovenia began the UEFA World Cup qualifiers in the best way possible with a surprising 1-0 victory against Croatia. Sandi Lovric of Swiss Super League team Lugano scored the winning goal for Slovenia as he is a key player to watch in this match.
However, the best player on Matjaz Kek’s side is clearly Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak, who had a solid game against Croatia. Another standout player for Slovenia is Atalanta star Josip Ilicic, who is clearly the best player offensively for this side.
