The Russia vs Croatia 2022 World Cup UEFA qualifying match will be broadcast live online and on TV as Sbornaya hosts the Blazers at Luzhniki Stadium this Wednesday, September 1, at 11:45 p.m. Pacific.
Russia and Croatia are at the top of Group H in the UEFA World Cup qualifiers with six points each. Both teams have a loss each to their record as Russia is coming off a 2-1 loss to Slovakia away from home in the competition.
Russia is also coming off a disappointing performance in the EURO as Sbornaya finished last in its group. The Euroasian side has some intriguing players, most notably veteran striker Artem Dzyuba, who will need to lead his team in the attack.
Croatia had a decent showing at the 2020 EURO as the Blazers were eliminated by Spain in the round of 16. Croatia is going through a generational change, but still has some household names in the squad like Dejan Lovren, Ivan Perisic and Mateo Kovacic.
Team captain Luka Modric will not be available for this match against Russia as his absence is a significant one for the Blazers. Croatia is set for a hard-fought clash away from home in this match as even rescuing a point from this encounter can be a positive result.
