Liverpool legend Ian Rush's great nephew was training with the first team yesterday.

Following Wednesday's last-minute win over title rivals Tottenham, the majority of Liverpool's fit and available senior players were in recovery at the club's new AXA Training Centre on Thursday.

Jurgen Klopp therefore decided to bring a number of Under-23 prospects over to train with the first team, including 18-year-old left-back Owen Beck.

Beck, who is the great-nephew of club legend Rush, broke into Liverpool's Under-18 side last season and was also a part of their Under-19 UEFA Youth League squad.

He put pen to paper on his first professional contract at Anfield back in June, before receiving fresh terms on a new deal last month having started this season with the U23s, reports the Mirror.
