Later, West Ham signed Julen Lopetegui as their new manager, but the Hammers haven't enjoyed a great start to their Premier League campaign. West Ham are outside of the top-ten league position after nine matches, and the speculations regarding another managerial change in a few months are increasing at the London Stadium.

Hence, the decision not to bring Amorim as the Hammers head coach seems to be another transfer mistake this year following the departures of Pablo Fornals and Thilo Kehrer in January. However, Amorim has suggested that West Ham submitted their offer, but he didn't want to join the Hammers, saying,

"It’s not the first or the second time that I have been requested by another team, and I don’t want another team. There was another team that wanted to hire me before, and they paid three times more than Manchester."- Ruben Amorim

Moreover, Amorim highlighted that he preferred to join the Red Devils after a brilliant managerial career at Sporting. Thus, West Ham should consider bringing the best out of their current squad and would want manager Julen Lopetegui to guide the Hammers to take consecutive wins for the first time in this league season.

West Ham faces some important matches this month against top Premier League sides such as Newcastle United and Premier League title favorites Arsenal which will play an important role in their ambitions of securing a top-six league finish. Meanwhile, it remains to be seen whether Julen Lopetegui's side can take the three points against in-form Premier League side Nottingham Forest in the away fixture.
