United will be based at Chicago Fire’s training facility during the duration of their pre-season tour.

The Red Devils are set to participate in the Premier League Summer Series, which will see them come up against West Ham United at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Saturday before returning to Chicago to face Bournemouth.

Amorim and his players will then conclude their stay with a match against Everton in Atlanta.

A number of youngsters have been named in the squad including Reece Munro, Dermot Mee, Jack Fletcher, Sekou Kone and Bendito Mantato.

One starlet who was not expected to be part of the travelling contingent but has surprisingly been included is Ethan Williams.

Amorim is a huge fan of Williams

A recent report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that Williams would be left out of the US pre-season tour ahead of an imminent loan exit.

Williams spent the latter half of last season out on loan at Cheltenham, where he did well, managing two goals and as many assists in 17 appearances.

It was stated that the 19-year-old is attracting a lot of interest, with many clubs eager to have him for the upcoming 2025/26 campaign.

Nathan Salt of the Daily Mail notes about William’s inclusion, “Boost for Ethan Williams as there has been a late reshuffle of the Manchester United tour squad and he’s got the call to go to the US.”

“Good opportunity for the youngster to further elevate his profile.”

According to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook, Williams was added to the list because Amorim rates him.

“Told Amorim has taken a shine to Ethan Williams, who has travelled with Manchester United for their pre-season tour of the US.”

Williams is likely to be given a chance to prove himself and standout performances could convince the club to keep him in the first team rather than sending him out on loan.
