Roy Makaay holds the record for the fastest goal scored in Champions League history, the former Netherlands international ensuring Bayern Munich got off to a perfect start during a round of 16 clash with Real Madrid in 2006/07.
Makaay scored goals at a prolific rate during a career spent at the highest level, becoming a firm favourite amongst the supporters of Deportivo La Coruna and Bayern Munich.
He won league titles with both clubs including back-to-back Bundesliga triumphs with the latter, part of an impressive haul of 102 goals in just 178 appearances for the Bavarians across four seasons.
