Roy Keane has left Nottingham Forest after just five months as assistant manager.
According to reports, Keane wants to pursue his own managerial career after five years working alongside Martin O’Neill with the Republic of Ireland and half a season at the County Ground.
“Working with Martin over the last few years has been a magnificent experience, one of my greatest in football both as a player and a coach and one I want to personally thank him for,” Keane said.
The former Manchester United captain previously managed Sunderland (2006-08) and Ipswich Town (2009-11).
