Ramos off the mark in PSG romp

A first PSG goal for Sergio Ramos and and unlikely brace from Marco Verratti gave PSG a convincing 4-0 home win over Reims.

Ramos toe poked home his first goal for the Parisians (62'), either side of Verratti’s double (44' & 67'). Danilo added a fourth for Mauricio Pochettino’s men 15 minutes from time, to maintain the capital club’s 11-point advantage at the top of the league.

"I think we started the game well but then we made some mistakes and it was difficult to create good chances,'' Pochettino said after the game. Five on the spin for Nice

Khéphren Thuram scored his second goal in as many games as Nice beat Metz 2-0 at the Stade Saint-Symphorien.

Thuram opened the scoring from close-range 13 minutes from time before Amine Gouiri scored his tenth goal of the season from the penalty spot (86') as Les Aiglons remained in second place, two-points ahead of Marseille.

Bakambu seals Lens scalp

Cédric Bakambu scored on his Marseille debut to help seal a 2-0 win at Lens.

Dimitri Payet's penalty opened the scoring for OM (34'), before substitute Bakambu sealed the three points with only his third touch of the game, firing low past Lens 'keeper Wuilker Farinez (77').

Lyon take derby day spoils

Lyon claimed the derby bragging rights after edging out neighbours Saint-Étienne 1-0 at the Groupama Stadium.

Moussa Dembélé scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot (15') to condemn rock-bottom Saint-Étienne to their 13th reverse of the campaign. Lyon remain in 11th position on the table.

Clermont upset Rennes

Former Rennes striker Jordan Tell headed Clermont's winner in a 2-1 come-from-Behind win at home to Rennes.

Lucas Da Cunha scored for Clermont on the hour-mark to cancel out Baptiste Santamaria's 19th minute opener for the visitors. But it was Tell who had the final say, rising to head home the winner (71') to give Clermont a precious three points in their bid to avoid the drop.

Mavididi magic sees off Monaco

Two superb strikes from Stephy Mavididi earned Montpellier a valuable three points in a thrilling 3-2 win against Monaco.

Goals from Elye Wahi and Mavididi gave Olivier Dall'Oglio's men a two-goal lead but Wissam Ben Yedder's 13th goal of the season reduced the arrears before Vanderson grabbed his first goal for the club, with a fantastic volley to draw the visitors level.

But Mavididi had the final say when he smashed home the winner in injury time, to leapfrog Monaco into 6th place on the table.

Hwang the hero in seven-goal thriller

Ui-Jo Hwang netted a hat-trick for Bordeaux as they overcame in-form Strasbourg 4-3, at the Matmut Atlantique.

Les Girondins raced into a three-goal lead courtesy of Hwang (17' & 39') and Alberth Elis (21') but inexplicably let Julién Stephan's men back into the game, through a Kevin Gamiero brace (43' & 57'). Hwang claimed the match ball by adding his third of the game (90') before Majid Waris pulled one back for the visitors deep into injury time.

Brest topple champions

Brest superbly ended their run of four games without a win, by beating LOSC 2-0 at the Stade Francis le Blé.

The hosts were given a helping hand when Tiago Djalo put through his own net (3') before Steve Mounié added a second in injury time from the penalty spot.

Nantes add to Lorient's woes

Goals  from Andrei Girotto (39'), Randal Kolo Muani (53') Osman Bukari (69') and Willem Geubbels (86') gave Nantes a 4-2 victory over Lorient at La Beaujoire.

Terem Moffi and Sambou Soumano replied in the second-half for Lorient who are now without a win in 15 games, stretching back to late September.

Mangani to the rescue

Thomas Mangani scored a brace of penalties as Angers came from behind to beat Troyes 2-1 at the Stade Raymond Kopa.

Brandon Domingues broke the deadlock for Troyes in the 11th minute but Mangani twice kept his cool from the spot (26' & 37') as Gérald Baticle's cemented their place in 12th position on the table.
