Rotherham United are having conversations with West Ham United regarding the possibility of signing Conor Coventry in what remains of this January transfer window.
As detailed in the Sky Sports live transfer blog (25.01 – 18:12), the Millers are considering a loan move for the technically-gifted holding midfielder.
The report states that Coventry, whose current deal at the Premier League club is set to expire in the summer, will likely pen down a new West Ham contract before heading out on a temporary spell.
The midfielder enjoyed a mightily productive loan spell with MK Dons last time out, proving to be vitally important as the Buckinghamshire club finished third in League One.

The verdict
It has been an impressive window for Rotherham thus far and this would represent further good business from the Millers as they strive to secure their Championship status for another year.
Welcoming the likes of Sean Morrison, Tariqe Fosu and Jordan Hugill to the New York Stadium already, Matt Taylor is starting to have strength in depth and will be hoping that will drive competition and performance levels.
Possessing a brilliant passing range and an excellent reader of the game, the highly rated midfielder could be an excellent addition at the Yorkshire club.
It will be interesting if Coventry’s potential arrival could have something to do with an expected departure during the latter stages of this window.
