A major new development to kick off a fresh and long season. The 2025/26 campaign will begin at the end of August with the Women's Cup – a brand-new competition featuring all twelve top-flight teams battling to win the first trophy of the new season. This new chapter will include a group stage (three groups of four teams each) followed by a Final Four tournament at a single venue to decide the first champions in the record books. For Suzanne Bakker's Rossonere, this new adventure will start on the weekend of 23-24 August. As of today, their opponents are also known: AC Milan have been drawn in Group C, alongside Roma, Sassuolo and Ternana Women.

The Rossonere's opening fixture will be against Sassuolo in Milan, after which they'll face Roma and Ternana Women in September. The group winners and the best runner-up will advance to the Final Four. Meanwhile, the women's Serie A division, newly named Serie A Women, will kick off on the first weekend of October. The twelve teams – two more than recent seasons – will face each other in the traditional round-robin format, home and away, for a total of 22 matchdays. The season is about to begin, and the Rossonere are set to gather in the coming days – minus those who are taking part in the European Championship. Let's go, girls!
