Rosella Ayane described it as a ‘special milestone’ as she became a Spurs centurion.
The 27-year-old, who made her debut in our Barclays Women’s Super League fixture against Everton in September, 2020, after making the move to Lilywhite from Bristol City, has now surpassed an impressive 100 appearances for the Club.
Making her 16th appearance of the campaign in all competitions, Rosella came on as a second half substitute in our 1-0 victory over Leicester City to help us to return to winning ways in the WSL.
When asked about reaching a century of appearances for Spurs, Rosella said: “It’s a special milestone and, obviously, I’m really proud to have reached it and hopefully I can get some more.”
Reflecting on the game against the Foxes, she added: “I think we showed good game management at the end whereas sometimes in other games we haven’t been able to do that. I don’t think it was our best performance, there’s parts of the game we can work on but, in the league, you need points and we got three. So, at the end of the day, that’s all that really matters.”
The Morocco international netted her first goal for the Club in December, 2020, scoring the third goal in the 3-1 victory over Aston Villa, and has gone onto 12 goals in Lilywhite.
Rosella has now played 75 games in the WSL, 10 in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup and 18 in the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup in Lilywhite.
