​Rooney expecting Derby signings within next 48 hours | OneFootball

Derby County boss Wayne Rooney hopes the club will make some signings in the coming days.

The Championship outfit have been dealing with a transfer embargo this summer.

Rooney only has seven outfield players at his disposal ahead of the first game of the season against Huddersfield next Saturday.

But Rooney hopes there will be a raft of new signings coming into the club in the next day or two.

"I am confident that within the next 48 hours we will bring players in," Rooney said after his side beat Notts County in a pre-season friendly, per The Sun.

"It is probably the first time I have been confident that players will come in.

"I would like as many as possible.

"We just have to focus, there is still a little bit of work to be done, but I am confident we will see some new faces this week."
