The mother of Cristiano Ronaldo insists he never had plans to sign for Manchester City.
Ronaldo left Juventus to return to Manchester United in the final days of the summer market - though only after it had appeared he would be joining City.

Ronaldo's mother, Dolores Aveiro, recalled to O Jogo: "On television there was talk of Manchester City.
"But he said to me: 'Mum, don't worry about what they are saying, because I'm going to Manchester [United]'.
"Seeing the stadium full, with 75 thousand people, singing his name was a great emotion."
