FIFA 23 is set to be released at the end of the month, giving fans of the franchise a chance to start from scratch in all game modes with the new updated squads, players and stadiums.

With the release of a new title in the FIFA franchise, the first thing on the lips of gamers everywhere is, who are the highest rated players? Especially in the Premier League, arguably the most popular division when building Ultimate Team squads.

However, the change in chemistry this season makes it easier to add variety to your teams, but the Premier League is likely to still be heavily used!

Top 23 Premier League players announced

EA Sports have released the list of the top 23 highest-rated players in the Premier League, with Kevin De Bruyne topping the list at 91 rated.

He is closely followed by a gaggle of 90 rated stars, including Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Heung-min Son, Casemiro, Alisson, Harry Kane, Ederson and N’Golo Kante are tied at 89 rated, with the game developers not being able to split any of them, meaning they all share the tag of the third highest-rated player in the Premier League.

Erling Haaland will remain at his FIFA 22 rating, 88, despite his blistering start to the season, with the Norwegian on fire for the current champions.

Obviously with the plethora of special cards released in a range of promos and then winter upgrades, this list could change drastically, but for now, the base cards are all we have to go off.

The release of this list only adds to the excitement of the new game coming out, especially with the addition of the Marvel Heroes, with the likes of Dirk Kuyt and Yaya Toure featuring in the Premier League options.

We see downgrades confirmed this year for both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, seeing a passing of the baton type moment, with Kylian Mbappe joint highest-rated at 91 with his Argentinian teammate Messi, as well as three others.
